Overlooking Rangeley Lake and nestled in the shadow of Bald Mountain, the cottages have a very picturesqe view of Saddleback Mountain and the surrounding mountain ranges. These rustic rental cottages are spaced for quiet privacy along a beautiful birch lined lakefront. Nature is everywhere! Hiking trails are located all over the area. The Appalachian Trail passes nearby, and there are many beautiful day length trails. Moose, deer, beaver, loons, bald eagles and osprey are common sight while hiking the trails, canoeing the local lakes and rivers or just driving the back roads. The sunsets and night skies are spectacular. The three housekeeping cottages are fully equipped, including bed linens, blankets, towels and kitchen utensils. For the cool evenings in the spring and autumn there is a brick fireplace in each cottage. There are also plenty of rockers on every porch! Two and four bedroom cottages will accomdate from two to eight guests.
There are activities for everyone...swings for the kids, horseshoes, badminton, lake swimming, canoeing and boating. Boat, motor and canoe rentals are available. Golf and tennis courts are located in nearby Oquossoc and Rangeley. Guided fishing trip are available for the whole family. The western mountains are home to some of the finest hunting and fishing in the state of Maine. Land-locked salmon and brook trout provide excellent fishing opportunities. Birds, deer and bear can be hunted in season and moose can be taken by special lottery. There are excellent hunting areas nearby. For those who are enjoying a stay at our rental cottages, Registered Maine Guide Services for the Western Lakes Region are available on request. Mooselookmeguntic, Upper and Lower Richardson, Cupsuptic and Rangeley Lakes are all points of interest to the sportsman. Full and half day fishing trips and fly fishing instruction are available. Families are always welcome.
